I can imagine that most of you have almost lost all hope of ever being connected to the Cricks via the crickconnection blog, and we would not blame you! The original intentions of keeping up with a blog since marriage were unfortunately put to the side as the busyness of setting up home, getting adjusted to our new married life, and working together on the farm took over. I (Joanna) got to participate this past year in every phase of farming tobacco, which was not only fun, but I learned a lot! As the year progressed, we generally got busier and busier, and finally closed with the harvest one week before Christmas! What a blessing it was to work together side by side! But this, along with our very, very slow dial-up connection may explain much of our lack of blog presence...
However, with a New Year often comes new resolve, and we would love to keep in better touch with regular posts this year. This was Curt's last year of farming, and we also hope to get high-speed internet when we arrive back home (we are in NJ now!). So hopefully the odds are in our favor to be regular bloggers now, with God's help most of all!
My next post will be about our holiday visits in KY, AR, and NJ. What I would like to do after that is give everyone an overview of this past year through a series of entries called "2010 in Pictures." So that's just a heads-up for ya'll! (I'm working on the Kentuckian talk!)
